If you are familiar with social networks in Italy then I’m sure some of the websites wouldn’t surprise you. Although there was one site whose traffic caught my attention: duepentozero.com. So a quick list of social networks:
www.duespaghi.it: Get information regarding Italian restaurant (ristoranti :-))
www.unispace.it: Space to blog, chat and participate regarding university. Apart from the normal you can also arrange a lift to your university. Hurrah! (Why don’t they launch that in the UK. Students would surely prefer it to trains/buses).
www.neurona.it: Business social network basically Xing re-branded for Italy.
www.link2me.it: Social network for consultants based on their skills.
buonpernoi.it: Ning based social network for people interested in environment, culture and well-being.
meemi.com: Meemi is is a social application based on a system of micro blogging (twitter and tumblr). You can share texts, video, images and ideas, but also organize events and see in each moment your friends and their comments. This new project lets users share with others “the background noise” that affects our daily life. ” I would be keen to cover meemi.com in detail later
Featured Italian Social Network
Ok now lets get on to duepentozero.com which surprise surprise 
is a community for teenagers and younger people. You can introduce and share photos and images (not more than 36), videos, comments…creating your profile and your blog. It allows to find other people according to the town where they live, their age, their interests and easily get in touch with them thanks to a friendlist.
The site concentrates on images and blogs and has good use of AJAX through out the site. The site overall is clean and easy to navigate no wonder it has just under 200,000 users. The sites usership:
