Spammers or discoverers.. Expert or noob ?

If you have subscribed to Brighton New Media then perhaps you are already aware of the thoughts of some of the members in regards to my previous post: “Please digg me.. I’ll send you a lollipop“.

By 1.37am on 1st September there were about 8 emails mentioning:

“..what kind of idiots do you think we are?..”
“..Why is the interweb suddenly full of half-arsed blogs containing very little except more commercial links and ads?..”
“hey guys, i discovered this amazing thing google do, it’s called page rank! i mean, wow!!”

Harsh words but totally justified. Best to describe my thoughts/reactions on the Kwiqq Blog where I generally speak. Apart from reviews/updates on social networks (example 1, example 2..) which I think can be useful for anyone getting to build their own social network(s), I do get involved in experimentation and crazy stuff. There are enough examples of crazy stuff on the Kwiqq Blog.

Why do so called ‘crazy stuff’ ?
I mainly do wacky stuff to lighten the tone of the blog. I dislike blogs which are too serious and constantly talk about how cool social media is. I like to experiment with silly videos, pointless campaigns not for cash, PR, stardom etc etc just to see how people react to social media and mainly LEARN !

Does that affect Kwiqq’s brand ?
I often make it clear I don’t do it as Kwiqq, I do it as Raj Anand. This is my style you don’t like it block me ! If you have had enough of me give me a call on my mobile +44 (0) 75 900 28 678. I’m happy to hear your thoughts and learn from your suggestions.

I have always learnt from experimentation and trying different things. I don’t think this habit will change overnight. One thing is for sure, very soon I’ll announce my last ever post on BNM. One less spam every week for good people at BNM.

In regards to Josh Russell I think I owe him a beer or two. Perhaps three ! I can certainly learn a lot from him. Happy to arrange a meeting some time this week ?
