DPA conference (1of 3): Lets unconference it !

Data Publishers Associations (DPA) is an industry body which represents data and directory publishers like Yell Group, BT etc . DPA have very kindly invited to their next event as a speaker: Event page (and PDF)

data publishers association by you.

My style of conference tends to be very unconference ! In the past at several speaking opportunities I tend to pick and mix the content I have prepared. Its fantastic to be able to take questions from the audience and allow them to drive the conference.

Nothing better than to start the conversations before the conference on a blog. So here are my thoughts on my unconference discussion:

  • Blogging meets micro blogging: Twitter
  • Social Location based service: Geotagging Flickr, Twinkle (Twitter LBS)…
  • Social Bookmarking + social distribution of content: Digg, del.ico.us, Google alerts…
  • Building online community + Measure success, case study: First Choice Holidays (2wentysworld)
  • Marketing to community, growing community: Several online resources
  • My top 10 social tools save you make money online: Jajah, Facebook

I’m looking for more suggestions and thoughts in the form of comments or email me on raj.anand <at> kwiqq.com. I’ll be doing a series of three blogs to summarise my progress.
